I have been wanting to get back to regular blogging now that I am not working on my memoir every spare second of the day. I have missed blogging and now that I had this bullet of inspiration this morning, my enthusiasm level has increased.
Welcome to my #songsoftheseason series. (For those of you who are hashtag illiterate, please allow me to interpret...my Songs of the Season series.) And don't feel bad if you fall into the hashtag illiterate category. They are not my favorite things to read either, however, they can be pretty hilarious. :)
Anyway...as I have been listening to the glorious sounds of my Christmas music collection, I keep thinking "Oh, I need to share this one on Facebook. No, this one! No, this one!" You get the picture. I. Love. Christmas. Music. And I want to share the sweet sounds and uplifting messages with all of my family and friends.
Enough of my yammering already, let's get to the good part of this post. The music.
For my first song I have chosen a one that first pierced my heart back in December of 2012. I was recovering from my hysterectomy and there was a lot of sadness going on in the country at that time. This song spoke peace to my soul and helped me to know that even though there will always be evil in the world, good will ALWAYS triumph. It is a message for any time and any season and I love this rendition by Casting Crowns. (Just FYI, I will probably be posting their whole Christmas album by the time I am done. It's pretty much amazing.)
Without further ado, I give you "I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day" Enjoy.
