In honor of Mr. Seaver and all of the good times and weird things that the 80's brought into our lives, I thought it would be fun to feature an 80's Christmas song today. I found the perfect one. Nothing says an 80's Christmas like "Winter Wonderland" by The Eurythmics. The song was released in 1987 and listening to it takes me back to my elementary school days when my hopes and wishes were that Santa would bring me some Charms for my cool Charms shirt, and maybe some jelly bracelets as well, or a Popples. Everyone wanted a Popples.
My thoughts and prayers go out to Mr. Thicke's family at this sad time. From all of the things that I have read this morning, I am not surprised to find out that he was just a super nice human being and I know he will be missed. Rest in Peace, Mr. Seaver.
Winter Wonderland- The Eurythmics
What did I end up getting for Christmas in 1987, the year this song was released? I know you've all been waiting patiently to find out...drumroll please...
1987 was the year that I became a baker--baking delicious creations with my Easy Bake Oven mixes. Maybe I should go back to baking cakes in my Easy Bake oven (which I still have.) If you have followed my blog for a while, you know that one of the many weaknesses I have is that I cannot make birthday cakes. Although Ellie's cake turned out alright this year so maybe there is hope yet. :)
