I am feeling like I need a little pick-me-up today.
Sad things happen every single day. We cannot change this. It's part of the life that we chose to live when we chose to follow the Savior. Sometimes we wonder why sad things have to happen to people who are genuinely good and honest people. I don't know all the answers, but I do know this...Everything that happens to us is ultimately for our benefit. Every sorrow is an opportunity to renew our faith and trust in the Savior. Every hardship is a chance to utilize His Atonement and learn where our true strength comes from.
Hopefully this song will make you smile today if you are feeling sad, lonely, or ready to throw in the towel.
Just remember, something as simple as a smile can change the outlook of your entire day.
Jingle Bells- Michael Bublé (featuring the Puppini Sisters)
#LIGHTtheWORLD Day 2
They offered nothing but genuine support when after only dating Mark for about 3 weeks, I called them and said, "Guess what? I'm getting married! What do you think?" I remember my mom saying something like, "Well, I'm not sure what to think since I haven't met him yet." Oops. Our bad. Note to self: Don't get engaged before asking the bride's parents (especially her father) if that is okay. We were just excited, I guess. But even though they had not met him, they knew that they had taught me how to recognize the spirit and because of their teachings, I had followed those promptings and knew that Mark and I should be married for time and all eternity. Their guidance is a huge part of who I am today. I am so grateful that Heavenly Father blessed me with these two special people to raise me, love me, and support me.
Love you Mom and Dad! Forever and always.
