Today's Songs for the Sabbath post comes at the beginning of a new week and the ending of a week that I would not like to do over.
Yes, there were most definitely some bright spots last week: skiing with the hubs (his first time), having my first eBook sale on Amazon, and giggling with my girls to name a few. But, it was also a hard week and I am not going to bore you with all of the gruesome details. I will only say that the adversary worked overtime on me this week and I am exhausted. Plus, I have been fighting a cold which is never any fun.
I woke up this morning with a head still full of congestion, but feeling a little more like my normal self, and I am happy for that. I do not like my grumpy self. She makes me frustrated, a tad bit angry, and she says and does things that are unkind. But, I have to learn to live with her because she will inevitably show up again sometime.
With the dawning of a new day- the Sabbath day- I turned to my music library to see what song I should share and I came up with the perfect one. It is a song that speaks to the very heart of my soul and has a way of helping me to pick up my armor and try again.
(The version by Mercy River is amazing as well.)
I want to leave you with the lyrics of this song because they are powerful and if you are someone like me who is used to being the strong one, the one who likes to be the rescuer and not the person being rescued, then this song is especially for you. Happy Sunday everyone. I hope you have a wonderful day.
Come on, come on
I am loving my second chance at life.
