"So much time
and so little to do!
Strike that, reverse it!"
One of my favorite quotes from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and it rings true for how the past several weeks of my life have been. I have been happily engaged in lots of good things which have given me little time for blogging about any of them. That's alright though. The world will go on without my blog posts, of this I know.
I have learned SO many things over the past several weeks that it would be impossible for me to write in depth about all of them. Instead, I'm going to give you the condensed, "play-by-play" version.
From my Religion Class:
*Faith is not to have a perfect knowledge of things. If you consistently feel the need to ask God for signs, then you are not exercising faith.
*We cannot be saved IN our sins because "no unclean thing can inherit God's kingdom & dwell with Him." (Alma 11:32-40)
*In order to qualify for baptism and keep the covenant made at baptism we need to:
Regarding the Sacrament:
My advice to someone who is trying to make the Sacrament a more meaningful part of their own lives:
Regarding the Strengthening & Enabling Power of the Atonement: (my favorite)
"One of the purposes of the Book of Mormon is to show...'what great things the Lord hath done' for us. These 'great things' include the divine assistance, strength, and tender mercies that individuals receive through the strengthening & enabling power of Jesus Christ." -from my lesson worksheet :)
Regarding the "Spiritual Wrestle":
*Are you willing to engage in an on-going spiritual wrestle? That's what is takes to gain answers to questions about the gospel.
From my General Studies Class:
Regarding Decision Making & Goal Setting:
*A choice involves making a conscious decision. To make an intelligent decision you need to evaluate all available facts on both sides of an issue. Then you involve prayer & inspiration.
"Just do the best you can each day."
I am loving my second chance at life.
