Easter is fast approaching and this year, it coincides with LDS General Conference.
I love it when that happens.
I get to celebrate the resurrection of my Savior while listening to counsel from those He has chosen to bear testimony of Him.
I get to hear a prophet of God speak. How cool is that?
Today's song is the perfect one to prepare you to celebrate Easter next week. The title is two simple words, but put together, they pack a powerful punch.
As I was getting ready for church this morning, I thought that today would be a great day to squeeze in a new Songs for the Sabbath post. As I have mentioned, life is a little crazy right now and I have not had the time to devote to keeping up this blog. But, the writing bug bit me today and I asked God to direct me to a song to share.
That's when I heard the song, "Kind", start playing on my phone. It's in my "Sunday Sounds" playlist. Written by Jenny Phillips and performed by Brooke Stone, it's a song that talks about how the world is in need of more kindness, specifically the type of kindness that comes from strong, righteous women of God. I love it, and I hope you will love it too.
I spent some time putting a little video together, and I think it adds that special something to the song. I wish I could have fit pictures of every single kind and amazing woman I know in my life, but I would have had to loop the song at least 7 times to do that! I have so many examples of kind-hearted, wonderful women in my life and I am grateful for each and every one of them.
Kind- by Jenny Phillips. Performed by Brooke Stone.
Let's do this, my friends. Let's keep the Kind-hearted women's movement rolling.
We need to flood the world with kindness,
and it begins with you and me.
I am loving my second chance at life.
